Brothers & Sisters,
On behalf of the 300,000 union members in the state of Indiana, it is with great sadness to bid farewell to our champion of labor Senator Joe Donnelly. He worked hard for the working people of this state and this country, and we have the utmost confidence that he will continue to serve working Hoosiers.
Despite the loss of our friend Joe Donnelly, organized labor gained some allies in the Statehouse and in local races too. We congratulate all of our endorsed candidates, especially the union members who answered our call and ran for local office. Your hard work has not gone unnoticed.
Indiana AFL-CIO would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to every volunteer who helped us knock thousands of doors and make thousands of calls for worker-friendly candidates. We wouldn’t be here without every single one of you who put in the work.
